At Unload, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our iOS application.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide a functional and supportive recovery environment:

  • Account Data: When you sign up via Email, Google, or Apple, we store your email address and unique user ID (processed via Supabase).

  • User Content: We store the posts and comments you create so you can access them and interact with the community.

  • Usage Data: We use PostHog to collect anonymous technical data (e.g., which features you use, session duration) to improve the App.

  • Subscription Data: Payments are handled by Apple. We receive confirmation of your "Pro" status but do not see or store your credit card details.


3. Special Category (Sensitive) Data
By using Unload to quit porn addiction, you may be sharing information about your health or personal habits.

  • Processing Basis: We process this data based on your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 9).

  • Security: This data is encrypted and stored securely using Supabase infrastructure.


4. Third-Party Services & Data Transfers
To run Unload effectively, we share data with the following processors:

  • Supabase (Database & Auth): Your account and posts are stored here.

  • PostHog (Analytics): Used to understand how the app is used. Data is typically anonymized.

  • Apple (Payments & iOS Platform): Handles subscriptions and app distribution.


Note: Some of these providers may process data in the United States. We ensure that standard contractual clauses (SCCs) or equivalent protections are in place.

5. Date Retention

  • We keep your data only as long as your account is active.

  • If you delete your account, your personal data and content will be deleted from our active databases within 30 days, unless required otherwise by law.


6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Since you are using an app operated from Germany, you have the following rights:

  • Access: The right to see what data we have about you.

  • Rectification: The right to fix incorrect data.

  • Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): The right to have your data deleted.

  • Data Portability: The right to receive your data in a machine-readable format.

  • Withdrawal of Consent: You can stop our processing of your sensitive data at any time by deleting your account.


7. Children’s Privacy
Unload is available to users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately.


8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of any significant changes via an in-app notification.
